 Interpreto Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Interpreto! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Interpreto mobile application, website, and related services (“Platform”). By accessing or using Interpreto, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


1. Platform Overview

Interpreto connects clients (“Users”) with professional interpreters (“Interpreters”) for on-demand, in-person, and virtual interpretation services.


2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Interpreters must be legally eligible to work in the country where they provide services.
  • Interpreters must be fluent in the language(s) they offer and able to interpret accurately in a professional setting.

3. Interpreter Responsibility and Fluency Requirement

By registering as an interpreter on Interpreto, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are fluent in the language(s) you list on your profile.
  • You can interpret consecutively and/or simultaneously as required by the assignment.
  • You understand that if found misrepresenting your fluency, you may:
    • Be removed from the platform,
    • Forfeit payment for the assignment,
    • Be subject to account suspension or permanent ban.

Interpreto reserves the right to investigate complaints regarding interpreter performance, including accuracy, fluency, and professionalism.


4. Bookings and Cancellations

  • Users may book interpreters directly or post a job to be matched.
  • Cancellations within 2 hours may result in partial or full charges, based on the platform policy.
  • Interpreters who cancel repeatedly or no-show may be penalized or suspended.

5. Payment and Fees

  • Interpreters set their own rates. Interpreto applies a service fee for Premium users and standard users.
  • Payments are processed via [Stripe/Designated Provider] and subject to its terms.
  • Payouts are typically made within [48–72 hours] of completed jobs, unless flagged for review.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use the Platform for lawful purposes only and will not:

  • Impersonate others or create fake accounts,
  • Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity,
  • Harass, threaten, or exploit other users or staff.

7. Ratings and Reviews

  • After each job, both users and interpreters can rate and review each other.
  • Repeated poor reviews or complaints may lead to disciplinary action or removal from the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content and materials on Interpreto (logos, software, design) are owned or licensed by Interpreto Inc. and protected under intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, distribute, or misuse platform assets without prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your data and complying with all applicable privacy laws (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).


10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including fraudulent interpreter claims, misuse of services, or violation of law.


11. Limitation of Liability

Interpreto is a platform facilitator and does not guarantee outcomes, earnings, or interpreter performance. In no event shall Interpreto be liable for:

  • Errors made during interpretation services,
  • Consequences of miscommunication,
  • Losses incurred due to platform outages or scheduling errors.

12. Dispute Resolution

In case of a dispute between users and interpreters, Interpreto will review case details and may withhold payment or take appropriate action.


13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance.
